Screening tests are a way to identify apparently healthy people who may be at increased risk of a disease or condition so they can be treated or monitored.
Scottish Bowel Screening Programme
The NHS in Scotland has a screening programme for everyone over the age of 50 years, who will receive test kits every two years to assist in the early detection of bowel cancer. The practice would urge all patients to return their kit as soon as possible after they have received it.
Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation
This is an education and exercise programme for people with Cardiac Disease. This is run by NHS Tayside for people in Angus with a new diagnosis of cardiac disease, ie heart attack, bypass and stenting, angina or heart failure.

This is a course of exercise and education for patients with a chronic lung condition, which is run by NHS Tayside. The programme is offered across several sites in Angus.
